The star-studded ensemble cast includes the likes of Jason Watkins (Line of Duty) and Tom Davis (King Gary), with guest appearances from Hannah Waddingham, James McAvoy and Oscar winner Jim Broadbent.

The Choir marks James and Ruth's first collaboration since the conclusion of Gavin & Stacey, the iconic BBC sitcom which ran for three seasons between 2007 and 2010, returning for Christmas specials in 2019 and 2024. With an audience of almost 20 million viewers, the final episode became one of the most watched scripted TV shows of the century.

What is The Choir about?

The series follows brother and sister Ben (Corden) and Lisa (Jones), who have not seen each other for several years. Ben has been living abroad, while Lisa has continued living in their small town where "nothing ever happens".

But when events take a sorry turn, Ben is forced to return to "a life he never wanted, a town he never liked and a family from which he's estranged".
