Jennifer Aniston insists her hairstyle is low maintenance

Jennifer Aniston has revealed an astonishing hair secret. Surprisingly, the Hollywood actress's famously sleek locks are in fact very low maintenance and require no heat styling at all. "I usually shape the hair around my face with my fingers — just twist it and then refine it with a brush and let it air-dry," the Friends star said.

The 44-year-old also said there's one beauty look she won't be trying any time soon – red lipstick. "Super bleached blondes — like Gwen Stefani — can get away with it, but it's tough to pull off with my colour," she explained.Earlier this year, Jennifer admitted that she had "hair envy" over Kate Middleton's trademark brunette locks. "Does she do her hair herself?" Jennifer joked during an interview with Marie Claire. "She's got a hard job being scrutinized like that," she said. "When I have a bad hair day, my hair just goes in a clip. "During the interview, Jennifer added that 'The Rachel', the layered bob made famous in the mid-nineties when she played Rachel Green in the hit sitcom Friends, happened by accident. When the show started, Jennifer was asked to change her long hair and did so by just asked a stylist to cut it shorter. "My manager at the time said, 'You have to do something with your hair—it's horrible!'" said Jennifer. "I walked into the salon and Chris [McMillan, her stylist] just lopped it off. I mean, at that point it was pretty much The Rachel."
