Lena also showed off her beauty credentials, rocking flawless winged eyeliner and peachy-hued lipstick for a glamorous start to the day. "Got bangs BEFORE 7am. That's gotta be illegal, right?!" she quipped in the photo's caption.

The actress recently opened up about the power of undergoing a hair transformation. Urging women everywhere to try cutting their own hair at least once in their life, Lena admitted she chopped her hair into a fringe when she was 12-years-old and although it was a bit of a mishap, she found the experience "thrilling".

"I will never forget the first time I cut my own bangs: the power, the adrenaline," she explained in Vogue. "I was twelve years old, standing in the fluorescent light of my parents’ bathroom with a pair of orange-handled craft scissors, unaware that I was standing on the precipice of self-definition."

She added: "The sound of the first chop, thick and harsh, was thrilling. I watched my hair pile up in the sink, then looked into the mirror: I had given myself blunt, successive layers that resembled a staircase headed to nowhere. Nothing about the haircut could have been perceived as skilled, fetching, or even sane. But I had never felt more alive."

It's not the only time that Lena has taken a trip down memory lane. She recently revealed that she headed to a tattoo parlour to get her collection of inkings updated – and even added new artwork, turning her endometriosis surgery scar into a skateboarding design
