I have always found effective hair removal on my skin very challenging, having tried common methods such as shaving, waxing and hair removal creams. Unfortunately for me, my dark hair is thicker and perhaps coarser. The only thing left was to try laser! Thankfully, Pulse Laser Clinic offers an incredible piece of technology that has kept my arms feeling more hair-free than ever before. Pulse, which is owned by sisters Maria and Christina, uses the award winning Soprano ICE laser technology, the most advanced method for permanent hair removal. The Soprano ICE achieves complete and effective hair removal that is safe, quick and best of all - virtually painless.

Following my first session I noticed a dramatic reduction. After two, the hair appeared to have vanished. And even though the hair has grown since, it appears to be much finer and less in volume. Traditionally, laser hair removal hasn't been suitable for people with very dark or very pale skin. But I have so far been delighted with the results. It's recommended that you take six to eight sessions in total for a long-term result. Multiple treatments over a period of time has been beneficial as it has removed as much hair as possible.

Depending on the setting, the treatment itself is pretty much pain-free. But if you want effective results, the deeper the penetration, the better! I was lucky enough to suffer no swelling or redness after each session. However, it is important to make sure the treated area is not exposed to direct sunlight or use sun beds for at least two weeks before and four weeks after treatment as you risk the chance of pigmentation. Speaking about the method used, Maria explains: "There is an art to laser, you have to understand the client's needs and then use the machinery effectively to ensure great results. After much research, we discovered the Soprano ICE laser machine which removes hair faster, safer and dare we say without any pain."
