We're loving all the cute moments we're seeing on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's royal tour of Australia, from the baby gifts to the first signs of Meghan's growing bump. And of course, we're loving the Duchess of Sussex's looks too. As well as a series of gorgeous outfits, the 37-year-old has also been surprising us with some new hairstyles. We're used to seeing her with her signature looks of long, loose waves or a casual messy bun, but during a visit to Macarthur Girls High School on Friday she went for a half-up-half-down look that appears to be inspired by other stylish royals.
This look really suits Meghan
The Duchess of Cambridge is a big fan of this look and has sported it on numerous occasions. Kate prefers a super-polished version of the hairstyle featuring immaculate waves and a neat bouffant. Meghan's take on the look is softer and more relaxed, with more texture and looser waves. Granted, she has worn her hair like this before – on the eve of her wedding day in May – but this is the first time we've seen it in the public eye, and we are seriously loving it.
It's not the only new hair look the mum-to-be has shown off on the tour, either. On her second day of the tour, she sported a practical, pulled-back low ponytail. She seemed to like the new look as she wore it again for a trip to Bondi Beach – this time letting a couple of tendrils loose at the front, to soften the overall look. Given their schedule, Meghan probably wants to keep her hair off her face and fuss-free. And she looks chic, cool and fresh all rolled into one, and the middle parting definitely serves to add a modern touch to the classic ponytail.
The couple, who announced on Monday that they are expecting their first child together, have been showered with baby gifts by well-wishers this week, including a stuffed kangaroo, baby books and teddies. How cute!
