On closer inspection, the royal sported a new look when it came to her long hair - it's the first time she has ever worn her hair loose with a headband perching it up! Kate is partial to a headband, having worn the headgear staple three times in 2018, but this is the first time she has rocked this particular look and we love the change.

Duchess Kate last wore a headband on Christmas Day, when she wore her rich burgundy coat, a red Bayswater clutch by Mulberry and her trusty pair of burgundy Gianvito Rossi heels.

She wore her hair in her trademark half-up, half down style and secured with it with her coordinating burgundy headband. Also by Jane Taylor once again, her £830 band was made from sumptuous maroon velvet and had a unique ribbon back. During the Christening of little Prince Louis in July, Kate turned to Jane Taylor once again. Wearing her hair in a chignon, her 'Cassandra' cream number featured a thick platform and striking appliqué flowers stitched on the top.
