Kelly Osbourne has become one of the first people to get a tattoo 443 feet in the air on the London Eye, receiving a design in honour of her late father, Ozzy Osbourne.
The TV personality, 41, joined a handful of VIPs to receive a tattoo at the London Eye’s ‘World Rotating Tattoo Studio’ on Monday. Kelly, who already has an extensive ink collection, paid tribute to her father by choosing a design featuring Ozzy’s iconic round glasses on her thigh.
Pictures from the rotating tattoo parlour reveal Kelly sporting a red-and-white polka-dot mini-dress with puffed sleeves. She was seen perched on top of a covered tattoo bed as the artist tattooed her upper leg, the unusual capsule location offering stunning views of the London skyline.
Kelly appeared delighted with the final result, with photos showing her beaming with delight as she posed for a cosy picture with her tattoo artist.
Alongside professional photographs from the moment, Kelly chose to honour it with a more personal Polaroid, which captured her receiving her new tattoo. Writing beneath the picture, she praised her tattoo artist, writing: "Thank you, there is no one else I would trust with this. I love you, Kelly."
The capsule-turned-tattoo-studio was created in partnership with The London Social tattoo studio and will offer ink lovers the chance to top up their tattoo collections against a breathtaking backdrop of the capital. The skyhigh studio experience was also offered up to the public, though all 32 available slots have now already been snagged.
Kelly's close relationship with Ozzy
Kelly is known to have shared a deep bond with her father and recently opened up about her struggle to navigate life in the wake of his death, the Black Sabbath frontman having passed away last July aged 76.
Sharing a heartfelt social media post on Father’s Day, Kelly wrote: "Dad, I still find myself looking for you in ordinary moments, the advice I need, the joke I want to tell, the victory I wish you could see.”
The singer added that it was an “honour” to have known her father and that she would “never stop” missing him. The tribute offered a rare glimpse into the close bond shared between father and daughter.
Kelly, one of six of the rock legend’s children, remained a close support to her father, despite his ongoing health struggles during his later years.
