If, like us, you mourned the tragic loss of the original Urban Decay Naked palette (we would have shed a tear, but we didn’t want to wash off the last remaining legacy of the cult product), then we’ve found something that may turn your frown upside down. There are now rumours of new eyeshadow palette, born from the ever-flattering, neutral toned ashes of the original Naked, and mixed with warm cherry tones. It’s the autumnal make-up must-have we didn’t realise we needed until now. And boy, do we need it.
We are so ready to amp our our berry toned looks, à la Emily Ratajowski, Kristen Stewart, Jourdan Dunn, and Selena Gomez
Trendmood1, the Instagram account always ahead of the make-up game, broke the news by posting a supposedly leaked photo of the Cherry palette. It looks identical to the original Nakeds we know and love - featuring 12 shades and a double ended brush, encased in the classic palette shape with a long mirror. But if you’re slightly wary about wearing reddish tones around the eyes because you feel like your co-workers may start offering you Lemsip and using extra hand sanitzer around you, then fear not. Because as well as plummy pinks and rich burgundies, there are also some paler, wearable shades for everyday - plus, it has a good mix of mattes and shimmers. *Sighs*. In fact, we could quote Shakespeare’s ‘Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?’, but we’re really comparing it to an autumn’s day, which is indeed more lovely (altough maybe less temperate). And it’s making us want to kiss goodbye to the heatwave...
Suddenly every palette in our make-up drawer seems utterly redundant, and we’re already rooting around for our berry-toned lipsticks to amp our looks. So, how do we get hold of it? Currently, it seems like it’s only available in Thailand, but beauty YouTuber Elle Tells predicts that we’ll be able to get our hands on it very soon, as it should be available when we hit autumn. So if we’re craving sweater weather, copper leaves, and pumpkin spice lattes enough, we’re now adding a particularly beautiful palette to our seasonal daydreams. Thanks, Urban Decay.
