Congratulations to Samia Ghadie and partner Sylvain Longchambon who have announced that they are expecting their first child together. The Coronation Street actress shared the happy news over social media site Twitter, where she admitted that she couldn't wait to be a mum again.
"Me and @slongchambon have some very happy news to share..", she wrote. "We are having a baby!! Freya can't wait to be a big sister later this year!"
Samia is already mother to five-year-old daughter Freya from her previous marriage.
The happy couple first met in 2013 when they were partnered together for ITV's reality show Dancing On Ice.
Samia and Sylvain in 2014
Samia, who stars as Coronation Street’s Maria Connor, and Sylvain quickly struck up a romance, and announced their relationship shortly after splitting from their respective partners, Will Thorp and Hollyoaks star Jennifer Metcalfe.
When asked by presenter Christine Bleakley during the final in 2013 if she was allowed to say love was in the air, Samia said: "Yeah, we're allowed to say that."
The 32-year-old soap star regularly takes to social media to talk with her fans and to post pictures of her family.
Earlier in March, she retweeted a fan who had posted a snap of Samia and Sylvain during a Dancing on Ice performance, adding "thanks" to the message from the fan who admitted they loved that particular routine.
She also shared a snap of her and Sylvain back on the ice together in December. "Great skate today after months off with @slongchambon Even managed a few lifts too!" she captioned the sweet snap of the two of them.
"Back from a gorgeous weekend in Amsterdam with @slongchambon #feelingfestivenow", was another caption earlier in 2014, with a picture which showed Samia and Sylvain still loved up after two years together.
