Victoria Beckham was showered with love from her husband David Beckham and their four children Brooklyn, Cruz, Romeo and Harper on her birthday this week, marking her celebrations in a sun-soaked location.
While the fashion mogul's fans and celebrity friends flocked to social media to share doting tributes in honour of VB's big day, so did her eldest son Brooklyn - who seriously divided his Instagram followers with a rather confusing post dedicated to his mum.
Sharing a sweet message and adorable family photo beside his parents and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, the budding chef wrote: "Happy birthday mum xx we love you so much [heart emoji] what an amazing family day xx".
It was Brooklyn's choice of photo, however, which proved polarising amongst fans. In his Instagram post, the 23-year-old star posted a snap holding a large tiered sponge cake layered with a thick spread of pastel blue icing.

© InstagramDecorative polaroid photographs were peppered across the tiers - but every polaroid appeared to be a photo of Brooklyn and Nicola. Confused fans quickly flocked to the comments to share their thoughts on Brooklyn's cake.
"Was the gift a cake with Polaroids of him and his wife?" asked one fan, as another penned: "Is that a birthday cake for Victoria that is solely decorated in Polaroids of Brooklyn and Nicola?"
"I’m sorry am I tripping or did you give your mom a cake with pictures of you and your wife on it????" quizzed a third fan.
No, you're not tripping. Brooklyn was indeed holding a cake emblazoned with photos of him and his wife, but it wasn't actually in aid of his mother's birthday.
The eldest Beckham simply recycled a snap from his wedding anniversary, which he celebrated with his parents just last week.
Looking back on their $9million wedding in April last year, Brooklyn penned: "1 year ago today I married my best friend xx I am the luckiest person to be able to call you my wife x you are my everything and I am the luckiest person on this earth to be able to wake up next to your gorgeous face every morning.
