Bella Hadid has had more than her fair share of show-stopping red carpet looks, but the 25-year-old model doesn't reserve her best fashion moments for special events.
Rather, she has had plenty of ace street style moments that we cannot stop thinking about. From pairing leather trousers with yellow racer jackets, to rocking the perfect off-duty suit, Bella is the queen of everyday chic.
What is Bella Hadid's street style like?
The model often opts for pieces rooted in nostalgia – for instance, baggy jeans and corset tops evoke style moments from the early 2000s. Y2K dressing is a major trend adored by various fellow models including her sister Gigi, as well as Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber. Interestingly, Bella is well-known for her love of vintage designer pieces, and the model has been spotted on several occasions visiting second-hand shops in New York. During the latter half of 2023, her off-duty looks have possessed a more minimalistic air, incorporating the quiet luxury trend into her everyday looks, but keeping her Y2K-esque foundations.
Earlier this year at the annual Cannes Film Festival, Bella stepped out looking glamorous in a series of stand-out archival looks – who could forget that super-plunge Versace gown from AW/01 or that major monochrome frou-frou moment in AW/86 Chanel?
What brands does Bella Hadid wear?
Naturally, Bella's wardrobe is filled with pieces from all the major luxury fashion houses including Balenciaga, Versace, Fendi, Chanel and Prada. However, her collection also extends far enough to include various independent brands such as House of Sunny, known for its psychadelic-inspired knits and Pangaia, a sustainable label which excels in loungewear.
How We Chose:
We chose pieces that emulate Bella's street style, whether that's by brand, silhouette or style, but were still approved by our fashion editors because they're on trend or timeless. We also chose pieces that were well-stocked at the time of writing.
Hello! Fashion shares Bella Hadid's best street style moments and shows you how to get the look:
The knitted co-ord
Bella's grey knitted two-piece is giving major 2000s vibes and we're here for it. The pièce de résistance is the grey fit and flare trousers that school us in elevated comfort.
The Von Dutch bag
Von Dutch is one of the many Y2K labels that has made a resurgence in 2023. Bella's red gym bag is seriously nostalgic, and the perfect way to emulate her street style is with your own 2000s-looking 'ludicrously capacious' Von Dutch bag.
The corduroy blazer
This look oozes 90s supermodel chic. Paired with her retro blue straight-leg jeans, black boots and black belt, Bella finished off with a black corduroy blazer that amped up the vintage ensemble.
The clasp detail cardi
Serving 'noughties pop princess', Bella looked unreal in one of cult-adored Jacquemus' logo clasp cardigans styled alongside Y2K-inspired tinted shades. Anastacia would be proud.
The cool-girl pearl pendant
Even the dressed-down street style moment deserves some high-octane pearl action according to Bella – and we concur. Bypass the slightly basic multi-strand choker in favour of a statement pendant this season.
The retro mini
The 1960s It-girls were bang on the money when they popularised the mini skirt and we are head over heels for Bella's neutral check version.
The glossy boots
Every girl needs a pair of sleek pointy boots that can be styled for each and every season. Follow Bella's lead and team yours with a geometric pattern wrap dress.
Remember the time when Bella was serving serious Kill Bill vibes. She paired her bright yellow racing jacket with black straight-leg leather trousers and we are still in awe.
The white top-stitching on Bella's trousers gives a subtle nod to a pair of jeans, and we love the Y2K-inspired butterfly diamante detailing on her belt.
Again, the model goes hell for leather on the streets of Lower Manhattan, wearing black mid-waisted trousers, but our favourite part about this look has to be the way she has styled her black long-sleeved micro top with a classic string of Chanel pearls.
Decorated jeans are having a huge moment, and Bella was one of the first to jump on the trend back in March of this year. We love the stark contrast between the model's dark denim and the crispness of the white floral-style print. Bella finished off her bohemian look with a light peach off-the-shoulder sweater and oval tinted sunglasses – it's transporting us straight back in time to the 70s!
We love Bella's take on the classic suit co-ord – the puff sleeves on her fitted jacket give her shape a certain relaxed femininity, plus we can't get enough of Bella's layered necklace combination. And her tinted sunnies? Serious noughties vibes.
Printed midi skirt
Every wardrobe should house a printed midi, case in point: this look. Bella styled her slip-style skirt with calf-length black boots and a white cropped shirt. The cut is super flattering – we very much approve.
