Awards season is in full swing, and the hottest night in British film and television, aka the BAFTAs, is here once again. Since 1949, each year the awards ceremony has welcomed a crop of stylish attendees dressed to the nines in the most extravagant gowns but also glammed to the high heavens.

While some of our favourite A-listers have their very own glam squads ready to create their red-carpet looks, BAFTA also hosts the exclusive Style Suites each and every year to get attendees looking picture-perfect.

Bouffant updos, glittery eyeliner, statement pouts and even Swarovski crystal freckles (obsessed, obvs) were on the cards this year. We've taken it upon ourselves to invoke a trip down memory lane and recall the very best hair and makeup looks ever to grace the legendary ceremony.
