Lily James knows a thing or two about major red carpet moments. And in her innate ever-dazzling style, she commanded attention at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty on Sunday in what could be her most elegantly glamorous look to date.

The 33-year-old oozed dramatic elegance in a powder pink custom Versace gown. We already know how close the Pam and Tommy actress is to the Italian house’s creative director Donatella Versace, so it was unsurprising she donned a custom look from her for such an occasion.

The gown boasted a super flattering figure hugging silhouette with a subtle trumpet hem, allowing the major feather neckline to do the talking. The strapless gown was adorned with elegant feathers all the way around to add drama whilst enhancing the uber-feminine feel.

She eschewed earrings, but her OTT neck bijouterie made up for it. The necklace boasted tiers of diamonds that cascaded towards the centre of her chest.

Celebrity makeup artist Hung Vanngo crafted an opulent glam look using all Charlotte Tilbury products, whilst Halley Brisker (who has taught Hello! Fashion a thing or two about creating red carpet hair for Lily), styled her brunette tresses in an elegant Oscar-worthy slicked back pinup. She opted for similar red carpet hair for the BAFTA awards last month to pair with her unforgettable white gown from Tamara Ralph’s first haute couture collection.

Powder pink was Lily’s go-to uniform for red carpet events once upon a time, cementing her ‘real life princess’ status after her Cinderella role. But since her Pam & Tommy debut, she’s gone through a noteworthy style evolution that is more daring and experimental than ever, and it has been a joy to watch.

“Lily is the epitome of an English rose, but there is so much more to her than just that,” her trusty stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray told British Vogue. “We are all constantly evolving and growing and her style is always going to reflect that.” But she reverted back to her roots for last night’s party donning a whimsical, feminine gown that perfectly encapsulated her signature style.

We’ve missed this Lily.
