Aromatic, woody, ambery and deliciously musky – this is probably what Jacob Elordi smells like, given Chanel has just announced him as the new face of its Bleu de Chanel fragrance. The actor, whose performance as Heathcliff in Emerald Fennell’s reimagining of Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights earlier this year further cemented his status as an international heartthrob, is adding another milestone to his growing list of achievements: becoming an ambassador for the French maison.

An ode to masculine freedom, Bleu de Chanel is an aromatic-woody fragrance with a captivating trail. It’s the type of fragrance that once your boyfriend wears it for the first time, you'll never want him to wear another parfum again. And now, Jacob has become the face of this very scent. The partnership makes sense: Bleu de Chanel was curated for men who are self-determined authors of their own destiny – something the 28-year-old actor has certainly been throughout his rise to fame.

Jacob has established himself as one of the most compelling actors of this generation. Arguably his most unforgettable role is in Euphoria, where he plays Nate Jacobs, a complex and unsettling character. The series returned for its third season earlier this month, but his portrayal of Nate gained him international recognition from the very first run. Other notable roles include his feature in Saltburn, directed by Emerald Fennell, and his portrayal of Elvis Presley in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla.

Jacob says: “Bleu de Chanel has strong ties to cinema. The filmmakers and actors who have collaborated with the House before me are people I deeply respect and admire. Being able to become part of this story is an honour.” His last time occasion working with the maison was back in 2024, when he appeared in See You at 5, a romantic film by Luca Guadagnino created for the global campaign of the Chanel N°5 fragrance, alongside Margot Robbie.

Now, the actor has starred in the new Bleu De Chanel L'Exclusif short film, titled Who Will Take It All?, which features acrobatics, a frenzied chase and a martial-arts duel. Plus, the epilogue, which offers a theatrical twist, plays a mischievous trick on Chanel's latest ambassador, which you can watch below.

Directed by five-time Academy Award winner Alfonso Cuarón, the short film is thrilling and action-packed, infused with suspense, humour and adventure. Marking a first major milestone for Chanel fragrance advertising, the cinematic campaign captures the spirit of freedom, confidence and audacity at the heart of the scent.

Thomas du Pré de Saint Maur, Head of Global Creative Resources, Fragrance & Beauty at Chanel, says: “I have been following Jacob Elordi’s career for several years, since Euphoria. I first met him on the set of the See You at 5 film for N°5, in which he stars alongside Margot Robbie, and it was a revelation. He perfectly embodies Bleu de Chanel: expressing freedom, mystery, magnetism, and a masculinity that blends modernity with a certain classic elegance.”
