Happy June! Summer is officially here, which means the return of Royal Ascot, Wimbledon, post-9pm sunsets, summer drinks terrace season and a fresh wave of holiday-ready fashion drops. As the social calendar ramps up, so too does the world of luxury lifestyle, with brands unveiling everything from destination-inspired accessories to immersive dining experiences designed to make the most of the season.

The rooftop bar, which is part of Canopy by Hilton London City, boasts sweeping views from St Paul’s Cathedral to Canary Wharf, making it an ideal setting for everything from chilled daytime dining to sunset cocktails.

Alongside botanical-led cocktails and seasonal small plates, Florattica also serves a decadent weekend brunch complete with smoked salmon eggs Royale, blinis and indulgent Belgian waffles - all accompanied by a skyline view that is hard to beat.

Beaverbrook's Hot Air Balloon Dining Experience

This summer, Beaverbrook is bringing back its much-loved hot air balloon dining experience, transforming six stationary balloons in the hotel’s Italian Garden into floral-filled dining spaces. Created in collaboration with luxury tableware brand Summerill & Bishop, this year’s Balloons in Bloom concept sees the balloons dressed in the brand’s romantic Still Life 1815 print, inspired by the colours and abundance of an English country garden.

Overlooking the Surrey Hills, guests can enjoy an intimate Japanese dining experience for up to four people, surrounded by seasonal blooms and thoughtfully curated tablescapes. Available for lunch and dinner from Wednesday to Sunday, the immersive alfresco offering combines Beaverbrook’s signature Japanese menu with one of the most picturesque dining settings of the season.

Tucked away in London Bridge, Bar Douro is a celebration of Portugal's rich culinary and winemaking heritage. The perfect date night spot, the intimate space centres an open kitchen, where guests can witness the chefs' innovative use of traditional ingredients take shape. Feast on octopus salad, crispy polenta, flat iron steak and, of course, golden pastel de natas - which are generously topped with sweet cinnamon ice cream. The cherry-infused Ginjinha Spritz is still on my mind and, I suspect, will be for quite some time.
