Daniel Craig and his wife Rachel Weisz have a beautiful North London home, but it doesn't come without its drama.

Daniel and Rachel won a battle to keep a 65ft tree in their garden five years ago, despite neighbours claiming the roots had damaged their own properties.

And now, their trees are under scrutiny once again. They have submitted plans to the council to cut their trees, but the actors require permission to cut their own trees because of the property being in a conservation area.

As reported by the Daily Mail, planning agent Stephanie Radziwillowicz said: "This previously reduced tree, overhanging several gardens, is in need of maintenance to slow root expansion and improve light."

Camden council are yet to respond about the proposal from the award-winning couple.

The pair split their time between London and New York, so as well as their Camden home, they have a townhouse in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn.

The couple, who married in 2011, share a four-year-old daughter together while Daniel has another daughter, Ella, 29, from his former relationship with Fiona Loudon and Rachel has a teenage son, who she shares with director Darren Aronofsky.

While the pair rarely comment on their private lives, Rachel opened up about the "chaos" in her morning routine while chatting to The Guardian. She admitted it was the usual "morning chaos" getting a teenager and toddler organised. It sounds like any other family home to us!

The couple have been co-stars in Betrayal on Broadway and Dream House, but it seems as though that is unlikely to happen again.

During an appearance on Sunday Today with Willie Geist, Rachel opened up about their position on remaining just husband and wife, not co-stars.

"I think we aren't going to [co-star together] at the moment. I think we really love our private life, as a life, as a family. And then we go to work separately," said the actress.
