Ben Fogle spends a lot of time away from his idyllic home in Henley-upon-Thames, where he lives with his wife, Marina, and their two beloved children, Ludo and Iona. Due to his filming commitments for his various TV series, including Countryfile, Animal Park, and many more, he often has to leave his gorgeous £2.2 million home behind.

As he is on the road so often, things at home shift around while he's gone, including the family's sleeping arrangements, which some may deem as unusual. Currently, the presenter is on a tour, and shared some insight into how his family have adapted to his absence.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, 23 February, he shared a photograph that Marina had sent to him from their bed, lying down next to one of their dogs, with a humorous caption alongside it.

The 52-year-old penned: "I'm on the road again touring. Thanks Kent for a great sell out first show. And thanks @marina.fogle for the selfie making me soooo jealous with your substitute bed partner while I'm away. I really need to stop travelling and reclaim my side of the bed… just another 30 shows to go… Love."

Ben Fogle's unusual sleeping arrangements

Ben and Marina have expressed in the past that they allow their dogs to sleep in their beds, which has caused a bit of a stir in the past, especially as the presenter called it "house rule number one" in a photo he shared of his then-puppy sprawled across his bed in 2021.

The family are known for being dog lovers, as Ben's father was a veterinarian, and his son, Ludo, has already been inspired to follow in the same path, a decision that Ben says he made "pretty much from when he could talk," as the 52-year-old revealed in an exclusive interview with HELLO!.

"We have a black Labrador called Storm who he absolutely loves. My father – his grandfather – was a vet and he loves going to the veterinary clinic and sitting in on the operations and sitting in on the consultations so I know he would love to work with animals one day," Ben continued.

"But he's fascinated by travel and I was lucky enough to take them to Africa and they loved seeing all the big African animals and they got to meet baby elephants… Iona as well," he concluded.
