Bonnie's sprawling home in Swansea, with views of the Mumbles coastline has been home for her since 1988, a long way from her childhood which was spent in a humble council house.

Speaking of her love of this particular region with the BBC, Bonnie confessed: "I love Mumbles and the Gower coast. When we get the weather, you couldn't be in a better place. I always loved it down this way and I like keeping close to my family."

In an interview with The Times in 2023 about her home, the singer explained: "It's in Swansea, with unbroken views over Mumbles Bay. We bought our house, which dates back to 1850, in 1988 and gutted the place, installing a new roof and flooring."

Bonnie and Robert also had a European retreat where they spent part of the year. In 2009, they upgraded their five-bedroom property in the Santa Eulalia resort, knocking it down to build a full-frontal glass home that's brimming with A-list quality.

Bonnie previously described their home in the Algarve as her "sanctuary," and it would have been where she was spending time when she fell ill.

Bonnie passed away "unexpectedly" in a hospital in Portugal on July 8, 2026, according to a statement posted on her website.

The statement read: "Bonnie's family and team are heartbroken to announce that Bonnie unexpectedly passed away last night in hospital in Portugal as a result of the illness that she was being treated for."

Bonnie was placed in a medically induced coma in May to "aid her recovery" after undergoing emergency intestinal surgery.

Did Bonnie Tyler have any children?

In a candid interview with The Times, Bonnie spoke about her marriage and the fact she didn't ever have children.  She said: "I think the secret to our success is that we met before I was famous. We don't have children because we left it too late to stop taking precautions, and then I had a miscarriage when I was 40. I was unlucky, but I love all my nieces and nephews."
