Madonna may be in her 43rd year of fame and onto her 15th album, which is called Confessions II, but there's no sign of slowing down for the pop Queen. Last month, the 67-year-old surprised America with an unannounced Times Square performance and there are rumours swirling that she could be singing at London Pride this weekend (we shall wait with bated breath). But away from her stage shows and studio sessions, the star has an impressive property portfolio with three main places to call home - check them all out below…
Life in the Big Apple
The hitmaker has what's aptly known as a 'megamansion' in New York because she acquired three neighbouring houses and knocked them through to make one giant property. Reports suggest that it could be worth in the region of $32.5 to $40 million, and the Georgian townhouse includes 13 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, an elevator, a wine cellar, a two-car garage, and a very rare 3,000-square-foot garden right in the heart of NYC. The star can't resist snapping selfies from her all-marble bathroom inside the luxury property.
A London base
Madonna is frequently in the UK for work, so it makes sense that she would have a permanent base here to retreat to when she's in town. The singer purchased a £10 million Georgian townhouse in Marylebone with her ex-husband, Guy Ritchie. She has retained the 10-bedroom property that features high ceilings and top-end finishes. It seems only fitting that the place should have a music room, complete with piano.
The Portuguese palace
When Madonna's son, David Banda, enrolled at Benfica football youth academy in Portugal, Madge made her dedication to his career clear by moving the entire family to Lisbon. Her property of choice was a very unique 18th-century Moorish Revival mansion worth $7.5 million that's essentially a palace. It is made up of four bedrooms and seven bathrooms and there is also a guest house and a caretaker’s cottage. The interiors are a wonderful blend of traditional and lavish, think marble in the bathrooms but rustic baskets as a feature in the kitchen.
David appears to have transitioned away from his love of football and is now more focused on the arts, modelling, and music - he has even joined his famous mother on stage, on occasion. It is believed that Madonna still retains her Portuguese property despite it not being required for David's sake anymore.
Confessions II will be released on 3 July and comprises of a total of 16 tracks, featuring collaborations with the likes of Feid, Stromae, Martin Garrix, Sabrina Carpenter, and of course, Lourdes.
