Mark Zuckerberg's jaw-dropping $450 million real estate portfolio spans the US and beyond, and now he can add Ireland to his tick list. The Meta CEO and his wife, Dr Priscilla Chan, have acquired Strancally Castle, a massive 440-acre estate located in County Waterford, Ireland.
Following rumours about the mammoth purchase, a spokesperson for the family released a statement: "Mark and his family are excited to continue caring for this historic home and look forward to spending time in Ireland, where Meta maintains its international headquarters."
© Getty ImagesThe HQ is based in Ballsbridge, Dublin, which is around a two-hour drive from Mark's new historic base. The final sale price for the impressive castle, with 440 acres of land, has not been released, but the Irish Times put the value in the region of €20 million - €30 million.
The castle was originally built for John Keily in 1830, and Michael Alen-Buckley is the businessman who has sold the castle to Mark. He and his wife Giancarla have spent 25 years lovingly restoring the property, according to The Times of India.
Mark's superyacht
As well as his residences on land, Mark has a home at sea - a $300million superyacht called the Launchpad Yacht! The super sleek and luxurious boat was designed by Espen Øino International and built by the Dutch company Feadship.
The yacht has an impressive length of almost 390 feet and can reach 24 knots and cruise at around 16 knots, while transporting 26 guests and 49 crew members, per YachtCharterFleet.

The boat caused some controversy in August when it was alleged that nobody responded to radio calls for help when a nearby boat in Alaska was in trouble. Mark later explained that the call was missed due to being on a different radio frequency, and by the time the call was answered, help had been arranged.

Mark and his wife Priscilla share three daughters: Maxima "Max", born in August 2015, born in 2017, and Aurelia, born in 2023. Mark has previously revealed that he limits the screen time of his kids. He said: "I don't generally want my kids to be sitting in front of a TV or computer for a long period of time."
