The Duke and Duchess of Sussex appear to be happily settled into the UK, sharing glimpses of their wholesome countryside pursuits, but a fresh video shared by Meghan Markle has included throwbacks to their old life in Montecito. One clip showed Meghan and her daughter Lilibet in the kitchen and another was of Meghan and Prince Harry marvelling at an As Ever Christmas hamper in their hallway.
This entranceway photo enabled us to swoon over their incredible décor once more, showing they have beautifully arched doorways, double-height ceilings and chic light fittings both on the wall and ceiling. Wooden patio doors can be seen which open outside and beyond Prince Harry, a sneak peek of their shared office with open fire can be glimpsed.
The couple both beamed with happiness as they looked at Meghan's carefully curated gift, displayed in a stunning brown hamper. Her website reveals that there are three different baskets for sale, 'The hostess basket', 'The pantry basket' and 'The parlour basket', and they retail from $211 to $259, including little luxuries like Meghan's famous preserve, flower sprinkles and tea.
This launch comes after unveiling her luxury advent calendar last week, which is a collaboration with Los Angeles chocolatier Compartés. The design on the front is extra special to the Duchess as it is of their family home in Montecito.
Will the Sussexes keep their Montecito mansion?
Now that the family have "a private, non-royal home base in Britain," talk has turned to what will happen to their US residence, but there are no plans to sell up. This may come as a disappointment to the local realtors there, as the New York Post has quoted a source declaring that "every broker wants that listing.”
The Sussexes are back in the UK for an undisclosed period of time, and they are planning on keeping their beloved home in sunny California, and we can see why. It's in an incredibly sought-after location and is brimming with amazing features like an outdoor pool, endless grounds and their very own wine cellar.
It seems as though it is their dream home, so it would take a lot for them to part with it. In an interview with The Cut, Meghan confessed that they fell in love with the property instantly. "We did everything we could to get this house. Because you walk in and go… Joy. And exhale. And calm. It's healing. You feel free."
