Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco's palace home has been lit up in a Barbie pink shade for a special reason - and the results are incredible. The couple primarily live at the Prince's Palace of Monaco (Le Palais Princier de Monaco) and a new photo shared by the royals has revealed the impressive sight.

The pretty pink glow all over the building's exterior has been branded "stunning," "beautiful," and "magnifique" by Instagram users. This happens once a year in October, for Breast Cancer Awareness, led by Pink Ribbon Monaco under Princess Charlene’s honorary presidency.

The translated caption on the image revealed another great cause taking place soon - a long-standing charity tradition of giving presents to senior citizens.

The caption read: "National Day 2026: Gifts for Monegasque Seniors. As is the case every year, and in keeping with tradition for the Monegasque National Day, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene will present gifts to Monegasque seniors.

"To receive their gift, Monegasque seniors aged 60 and over must register between October 20 and October 22, 2026. Registration can be completed either by calling 99.98.84.90 (between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.) or via the Prince’s Palace website (www.palais.mc – under the tab: "Fête Nationale des Aînés Monégasques" / National Day for Monegasque Seniors).

"The gifts will be presented by H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, starting at 2:30 p.m., at the Foyer des Aînés Monégasques (Monegasque Seniors' Center) on Avenue de la Quarantaine."

Charlene will no doubt be a fan of the pink hue idea, considering that she previously pointed out that the palace was in need of a "woman's touch", with intentions of putting her own stamp on her husband's home after their 2011 wedding.

Sitting down with Tatler for a tell-all interview before their nuptials, she declared: "This place needs a woman's touch. You can tell that a woman hasn't lived here for a while. I want to make some big changes to the interiors to modernise things and liven it up."

The history and luxury features of the palace

The palace, which was built in 1191 and has been the official residence of the Sovereign Prince since 1297, is full of iconic spaces such as the Courtyard of Honour, the Gallery of Hercules and the Throne Room.

The impressive grounds have a five-star element - a huge outdoor swimming pool that's shrouded by trees and surrounded by a pristine lawn. This is no doubt a well-used feature for Charlene, who is a former Olympic swimmer. Albert and Charlene also have 11-year-old twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, who are likely to use the pool.
