Getting into the spirit of the holiday Princess Madeleine of Sweden dressed up her daughter for Halloween. Princess Leonore looked adorable dressed as a ladybug while posing for a picture.

Posting the cute pic on her Facebook page the Swedish royal wrote: "A Happy and Safe Halloween from Leonore....." The toddler, who will turn two-years-old in February, smiled for the camera whilst dressed up in a red and black costume featuring black antennas.

This will be the little princess’ first Halloween with her younger brother Prince Nicolas, who was born in June.

In early October Swedish royals gathered to attend the little boy’s christening. Nicolas looked angelic as he slept in the arms of his mother during the ceremony that took place at Drottningholm Palace Chapel. The four-month-old baby wore the same cream christening robe that his older sister wore during her baptism that took place last year.

The service was a family affair with Madeleine’s older brother Prince Carl Philip agreeing to take on the role as the baby boy’s godfather along with five other of the royal couple’s friends. He also played a vital role in the christening, doing a reading and filling up the baptismal font before blessing his nephew.

It won’t be long before Carl Philip will have his own little boy or girl as he recently announced that his new wife Princess Sofia is pregnant with their first child.

The couple announced the joyous news in October via the Swedish Royal’s Facebook page, writing: "We are so happy and excited to announce that we are expecting our first child," the parents-to-be wrote in a statement. "We are very much looking forward to it."

The palace also confirmed: "The birth is expected to take place in April of 2016."
