Princess Sofia debuted a new hair colour as she and Prince Carl Philip attended the opening of the Swedish Parliament on Tuesday.
The 41-year-old Swedish royal's locks now look dramatically darker, with Sofia opting to grow out the blonde highlights she sported over the summer.
The mother-of-four is embracing warmer dark chocolate tones for the autumn/winter season ahead, having frequently experimented with balayage and ombre highlights.
Sofia's hair was styled into a half updo with a black satin bow to match her monochrome skirt suit, complete with oversized white lapels and military-style buttons on the jacket. She teamed her outfit with black patent stilettos and a matching clutch bag.
Carl Philip and Sofia joined other members of the Swedish royal family, including King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, and Princess Madeleine and Christopher O'Neill.
The royals attended the traditional religious service inside Stockholm Cathedral before proceeding to the Swedish Parliament (Riksdagen).
Family time
When they're not carrying out official royal engagements, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia love to spend time with their four young children.
The couple, who married at Slottskyrkan in Stockholm on 13 June 2015, are parents to Prince Alexander, ten, Prince Gabriel, nine, Prince Julian, five, and one-year-old Princess Ines.
While the children are included in the Swedish line of succession, King Carl XVI Gustaf, decided in 2019 that Carl Philip and Sofia's children, as well as Princess Madeleine and Chris O'Neill's three children, would no longer be styled HRH as they are not expected to carry out royal duties in future.
Crown Princess Victoria is the heir to the throne, with her children, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar, second and third in the line of succession.
