Prince William opened up about his little boy Prince George during an engagement on Monday morning. The royal spoke to model and fellow parent Abbey Clancy, who has two children with her husband Peter Crouch, about his son's sleeping pattern.

William admitted that George "never slept" as a baby and that he wished he had an app called Baby Buddy, which offers parents advice and support they might otherwise not seek help for.

The app was developed by the charity Best Beginnings, which ensures that children get the best possible start in life.

The charity is one of seven that is involved in the Heads Together campaign – an ambitious project launched by Prince William, his wife Kate and Prince Harry. Its aim is to end stigma surrounding mental health.

The royals toured the different charity display stands at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Monday, and chatted to different volunteers, beneficiaries and campaigners along the way.

William also revealed his secret to calming George and Charlotte when they cried – running the tap as the sound of water soothed them. The Prince added that his daughter wasn't "much of a crier" but George was as a baby.

Abbey, 30, was at the event to show her support for the Best Beginnings charity. The model carried a sweet baby as she spoke to fellow parents Prince William and Kate.

"The trouble is many people put a sticking plaster over things and feel like they can't seek help for issues such as post natal depression, or may not even know they have it," said Kate.

Abbey agreed: "Some people may even feel stupid asking for help or don't have much in the way of family support around them. I wished I had this app when I had my first. I have been blown away by the work this charity is doing."

During the engagement William, Kate and Harry also revealed what makes them happy by writing down their answers on pieces of card. William said that his children are his greatest pleasure, while Kate admitted that going for a walk lifted her spirits. Harry added that making people smile made him happy.

The royals launched the Heads Together campaign to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week.
