Meghan Markle's former Suits co-star revealed on-set secrets from the hit legal drama and revealed what it was really like to shoot scenes with the Duchess of Sussex.
The 44-year-old actress and mother-of-two appeared on the USA Network series as paralegal Rachel Zane from 2011 until 2018 and starred alongside Patrick J Adams, who played her love interest, Michael Ross.
When asked about his experience with the wife of Prince Harry, 41, King Charles's youngest son, Patrick, 44, let slip some of her impatient body language she would deploy when she was fed up with her co-star.
While chatting on an American podcast called Not Skinny But Not Fat, hosted by influencer Amanda Hirsch, the Suits star revealed details about his former colleague and her mannerisms.
He explained: "I got a lot of eye rolls. That was a constant with Meghan, her rolling her eyes at me like, 'Oh my god, what are you doing?'."
Patrick added: "'What she's gone through is insane" in response to the host's revelations that she had received a letter from Meghan assuring her the episode with her Suits co-star wouldn't upset her.
Amanda said: "I was worried that this trailer would have people at her throat again, and she wrote me a note saying, basically saying, 'Thank you for being afraid for me, but don't be, it'll be fine'."
The husband of Pretty Little Liars star Troian Bellisario has a reference to Meghan in his social media bio, which he joked he was going to remove after the episode.
On Instagram, it says: "The other guy from that show that you're watching on that app because that girl married that prince." Patrick told Amanda: "I've got to change that", before adding it was a sentence that would make the duchess roll her eyes.
Public quips on SNL
Patrick's comments were broadcast as the UK debut of Saturday Night Live made Prince Harry and Meghan the butt of one of their jokes during a skit about the Royal Family.
In the first skit of the evening, cast member Hammed Animashaun quipped that Prince Harry was "going to marry a woman 98 per cent of the UK public will find it impossible to have a normal conversation about" in a dig at the prince's marriage to the ex-Suits star.
Meghan walked down the aisle and tied the knot with Prince Harry in May 2018 and stepped down from senior royal duties in 2020, before they moved to Montecito, California. They welcomed two children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.
