Princess Kate was the ultimate devoted wife on Friday, attending Prince William's charity polo match at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor.

While the Prince of Wales' estranged brother, Prince Harry, delighted crowds in Birmingham, Prince William took part in the charity match – an activity he used to do alongside his brother, likely making it an emotional occasion for our future King.

Luckily, his wife was there to cheer him on – despite having spoken in the past about being allergic to horses – how's that for dedication?

This year marks the 15th time Prince William has played in the match, which is set to raise funds for charities chosen by the Prince and Princess of Wales, including the Wales Air Ambulance (25th Anniversary), The Royal College of Paramedics (25th Anniversary), Shout, Ty Hafan, Forward Trust, Evelina London Children's Hospital, Maternal Mental Health Alliance, We Are Farming Minds, The Passage, Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.

Princess Kate's casual polo look

Dressed in a surprisingly casual gingham summer dress, Princess Kate arrived alongside Prince William’s equerry, Mike Reynolds.

Pre-polo attire

Prince William arrived at the event in a cream linen jacket with dark trousers – so much more weather appropriate than his usual dark outfits, though we suspect he'll be in his polo gear before we know it!

Princess Kate and Mike Reynolds

It's no surprise Princess Kate looks comfortable with Mike Reynolds, as Prince William's equerry's role is to be the eyes and ears of the members of the royal household they serve, frequently attending events with the family.

Princess Kate's gingham dress

We've just been reliably informed by HELLO!'s resident fashion guru, Laura Sutcliffe, that the Princess of Wales' dress is by Temperley London - and it was worn earlier this week by Benedict Cumberbatch's wife, Sophie, at Wimbledon.

Prince William ahead of the match

Prince William looked relaxed ahead of the match. The future King has been playing polo since he was a boy, so we suspect he was feeling quietly confident

Ready to rock

Prince William looked ready for action as he changed into his polo attire - doesn't he look smart?

Full steam ahead

The Prince of Wales got stuck straight into the match, yielding his mallet ready for action.
