King Charles has revealed his plans to return to London, a day after his son Prince Harry touched down in the UK.
The Sussexes officially landed on British soil on Wednesday, marking the beginning of their next family chapter after living abroad in the US for the past six years. Meanwhile, Charles retreated from the royal spotlight earlier this month for his annual summer break in Balmoral with the royal family.
Amid the news that the Prince and Princess of Wales have officially left Balmoral after a week with the King and Queen, it's now been revealed the monarch will travel back to London next week for a special engagement at his beloved home, Clarence House.
© Tim Graham Photo Library via GetCharles is expected to meet the Pakistan National Cricket Team at his royal residence on Wednesday, 2 September. Clarence House is where the King has called home with Queen Camilla in central London for the past 23 years since 2003.
The royal broke his cover in Balmoral last Sunday when he was pictured arriving for a church service at Crathie Kirk, near where the royal family were holidaying at Balmoral Castle. Charles resurfaced for the first time since news of his son Harry's UK move as he was seen alongside members of the royal family, including his wife Camilla and his son Prince William, who was joined by the Princess of Wales and their three children.
Prince Harry's return
While Charles is set to make his way back to the city next month, it's understood the Sussexes will live outside of London in a non-royal residence.
Harry and his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, arrived in the UK yesterday. The Telegraph reported that the couple landed at Birmingham Airport on Wednesday lunchtime.
© GettyNews broke last week that the Sussexes would be relocating from their home in Montecito, California to the UK by the end of the month ahead of the school term in September. The couple will remain as private individuals and non-working royals, in keeping with the agreement made in 2020, and HELLO! previously shared the King welcomes the opportunity to see more of them in a private and personal capacity.
Details surrounding where the Sussexes will call home have been kept private for security reasons, but one of the areas that HELLO! understands the family could potentially move to is the Cotswolds.
