The King has made his first public appearance since Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor launched legal action against the police over his arrest.
Charles, 77, was business as usual on Wednesday as he joined a lively music workshop for young people at Battersea Power Station, home to the Apple HQ, in London.
The monarch reunited with Sir Elton John and Apple CEO Tim Cook to launch a collaboration between the tech giant and the King's Trust, Creative Labs, which is a new programme of "immersive industry-led experiences" for young people.
Dressed in a smart grey pinstripe suit, King Charles appeared calm and collected as he walked through the power station, beaming as he met workshop volunteers.
He joined a music session before attending a sound check experience with Tim and Sir Elton, who have supported the King's Trust for many years.
Sir Elton previously performed on 28 September to celebrate the launch of the new Apple Music Hall, a new music venue in Battersea.
The King's Trust has worked with Apple since 2019 on projects to help young people in the UK transform their digital skills, including AI literacy, creativity, and agency.
What has King Charles said about Andrew?
The King has continued to make his stance on his younger brother clear this week, with Andrew told not to use his private funds from the King to fund his legal action.
Andrew lives on his brother's Sandringham Estate and receives an annual stipend – the amount of which has not been disclosed – provided by Charles from his private funds.
However, a Palace source said it has been made clear that these monies should not be used to fund the judicial review.
The source added Andrew’s legal defence was a matter for him and his lawyers, and that Buckingham Palace has no role in determining its strategy or actions.
The late Queen’s second son was arrested on his 66th birthday earlier this year on suspicion of misconduct in public office following allegations he shared sensitive information with Jeffrey Epstein during his time as the UK’s trade envoy.
He has been granted permission to challenge whether Thames Valley Police acted lawfully over the searches relating to his arrest in February.
When Andrew was arrested on February 19, the monarch issued a written statement, insisting "the law must take its course". Criminal cases are brought by the Crown Prosecution Service in the name of the King, as the reigning monarch.
King Charles's important work with Apple
The King's Trust has been working closely with Apple as it celebrates its 50th anniversary year, including developing education resources and building a relationship since 2019.
In 2024, Charles enjoyed a visit to the Apple Headquarters with Tim, where he enjoyed a special performance of O Holy Night by Raye.
The Apple chief executive praised the King's "extraordinary leadership, his service to the United Kingdom and his lifelong commitment to philanthropy and the betterment of humanity".
In 2023, Prince William and Princess Catherine hosted Tim for afternoon tea at Windsor Castle.
He came bearing gifts, as a photo of Apple goody bags was seen in the background of a photo of them talking.
Though Charles and Tim appear to share a close friendship, it's not believed the King has his own iPhone; instead, he reportedly prefers to use his own landline to make calls.
However, the Prince of Wales was spotted using his personal iPhone at an Aston Villa match in May, even declining a phone call as he recorded his beloved football team's celebrations after winning the Europa League.
