Queen Sonja left a heartbreaking final message for her beloved husband, King Harald, as the royal family honours his memory.
The Norwegian King passed away aged 89 last Friday after being diagnosed with haemolytic anaemia, a rare condition that reduces the number of red blood cells.
On Monday, the late monarch's coffin was moved from the Red Room of the Palace to the Palace Chapel, where it will remain until the state funeral on 9 September, so members of the public can pay their respects.
The royals left two wreaths with white flowers and embroidered ribbons on either side of the coffin, with Queen Sonja, 89, leaving a touching tribute for her husband of 58 years.

A second wreath simply read "takk", meaning "thank you", alongside the names of Haakon, Mette, Ingrid, Magnus and Marius Borg Hoiby, Haakon's stepson, who has been granted special permission to attend the funeral services away from his house arrest at the Skaugum Palace.
Harald's coffin also features the Royal Crown of Norway, a 20-karat gold piece composed of eight rings decorated with golden stars, pearls and precious stones.
Queen Sonja and King Harald's rebellious marriage
King Harald met his future wife Sonja at a party in 1959.
However, he had to wait nine years until he was allowed to marry her, as Sonja was a "commoner", meaning their relationship was kept a secret.
The couple finally married in 1968 at Oslo Cathedral after receiving an official blessing from the then-King Olav V.

The Norwegian royal family posted a tribute to mark the occasion, featuring several photos of their love throughout the years, including a black-and-white photo of the pair dancing on their wedding day, and several vacation photos from throughout the years.
A caption for the post read: "I don't think anyone can live a life without love' - King Harald, 2013. Today, King Harald and Queen Sonja would be celebrating their 58th wedding day. Through a long life, they stood by each other's side. Today, we also remember the love they shared over six decades."

The wreath wasn't the only part of Queen Sonja's meaningful tribute to her husband. She wore the Queen Maud Clothiers' Company brooch, inherited from her mother-in-law, Queen Maud.
The brooch dates to 1896, when Princess Maud of Wales married Prince Carl of Denmark.

In 1905, Maud and Carl became King Haakon VII and Queen Maud of Norway, and the brooch became part of the new Norwegian Crown Jewels collection.
The brooch is therefore steeped in a royal love story, marking a poignant final tribute from Queen Sonja to the love of her life.
