King Harald's funeral is being held on Wednesday 9 September and the Norwegian royal family are out in force to pay their respects to the late monarch. Harald's daughter, Princess Märtha Louise of Norway was part of the poignant procession, walking behind her father's coffin.
The royal wore a black dress and coordinating blazer with a red medal on her lapel. She chose a pearl choker to finish off her smart and sombre look.
The 54-year-old wore her brunette locks neatly pulled back as she quietly and slowly walked behind the procession.

When the funeral begins, there will be a moment of silence and members of the public are expecting to see King Haakon VIII on the palace balcony following the funeral.

© GettyPrincess Märtha Louise of Norway's husband Durek Verrett was surprisingly in attendance at the funeral, despite undergoing a kidney transplant in late August. This came a year after revealing he required dialysis several times a week "just to stay alive".
Amid his own health struggles, he has paid tribute to the late monarch, writing: "Love you dad. I will miss all our fun times together," online.
Durek was welcomed into the royal family following their wedding in August 2024, two years after Princess Märtha Louise stepped back from official royal duties in 2022. I can't discuss our private conversations, but she has a very wise father and mother.
He admitted being nervous asking Martha's parents about her hand in marriage. "The King and Queen asked me questions about myself and the future, and went quiet for a bit. I was sweating as I waited for their response - and then they turned to me and said they'd love to have me as part of the family," he said.
