It has been a difficult few days for Mike Tindall, who announced the sad news that his beloved father, Phillip, died at the age of 80, in the latest episode of his rugby podcast, The Good, The Bad & The Rugby.
The former England Rugby captain, 47, has now been seen for the first time since the sad news on Friday evening, attending the Laver Cup with his wife, the daughter of Princess Anne, Zara Tindall.

The pair were also photographed alongside players, Learner Tien, Francisco Cerundolo and Casper Ruud.
In the images, Mike looked upbeat, smiling alongside his royal wife, who was dressed exquisitely for the occasion.
© Getty Images for Laver CupZara opted for an elevated navy blue pinstripe suit, under which she wore a midnight blue satin shirt. Her platinum blonde bob appeared freshly trimmed and was styled with a gentle wave.
Zara and Mike Tindall have long been avid supporters of the Laver Cup - co-founded by their close friend Roger - and frequently step out to back his projects, including the London screening of his documentary, Federer: Twelve Final Days.
Mike's difficult week
As previously mentioned, Mike paid tribute to his father on the September 23, 2026 episode of his podcast, The Good, The Bad & The Rugby, sharing: "Unfortunately, my dad passed away last week."
He went on to thank Otley Rugby Club in West Yorkshire after players marked Phil's death with a special tribute.

"That little moment, I got to watch it. Someone recorded it, sent it to me, and then they wrote a little thing in the programme as well, which I read," he continued. "But thank you very much to Otley Rugby Club for it."

Casper revealed becoming a father has given him an entirely new source of motivation when he steps onto the court. "I would say it has changed my perspective mostly off court," he exclusively told HELLO!.
© Laver Cup"When I play tennis and when I travel around, I try to make the most of the chances I get. I realise that I have a baby girl back home and if I don't give it my all when I'm playing in matches, I might as well go home and spend time with her instead."
The Norwegian star - who married his longtime partner, Maria Galligani, in Mallorca back in June - added: "I try to push myself and give my all and I have one extra to play for now and it's great motivation for me."
