Another Princess is set to walk down the aisle! Princess Alexandra of Leiningen has announced her engagement to Everett Kohl. The bride to be, who goes by Alexa, shared the exciting news on her personal Instagram account on October 13.

Alongside a photo of herself holding her fiancé's arm and showing off her stunning engagement ring, Alexa wrote: "What a weekend," followed by a series of emojis.

The picture of the betrothed couple was taken in scenic Whistler, Canada.

Deborah Cully, the Princess' mother, celebrated her daughter's engagement, sharing a carousel of photos of her future son-in-law and Alexa.

"We are overjoyed to announce that our beautiful daughter, Alexa will be marrying the love of her life, Everett," Deborah captioned the post.

"Wishing this wonderful couple a life of love, laughter and happiness. Let the celebrations begin."

The mother of the bride also reacted to Alexa's post, commenting: "So much love for you two and the exciting times ahead."

The Princess is the youngest daughter of Prince Hermann Friedrich of Leiningen and Deborah Cully, and is a descendent of Queen Victoria. Speaking to The Queen's Journal, a student-run newspaper at Queen's University, in 2019, Alexa said: "Queen Victoria is my great-great-great-great grandmother and I descend through her second eldest son, Prince Alfred."

In addition to being a descendant of Queen Victoria and Tzar Alexander II of Russia, Alexa's father is the great-grandson of King Victor Emmanuel III of Italy and King Louis Philippe I of France.

"My North American upbringing was similar to that of most children, with school, sports and friends being the big focus. We were always told not to advertise our background but to be proud of it, and only to talk about it if someone asked. We never thought it was important for people to know," Hermann once told the Queen's Alumni Review. "In fact, there are many people I have known for many years that still don't know."

The son of Prince Karl of Leiningen and Princess Marie Louise of Bulgaria met his wife Deborah at Queen's University, which their three daughters, Tatiana, Nadia and Alexa, also attended. Alexa graduated from the school in 2020.

Although she is a Princess, Alexa had a standard childhood in Canada, where she grew up, according to The Journal. However, she would travel to Europe to visit her father's family.

"We would go to Germany and my dad's family lives there, so we got to visit [my relatives’] castle, which was a wonderful experience," Alexa previously recalled to The Queen's Journal.

"We visited a place called Amorbach, which used to be in what was called the 'principality of Leiningen', and therefore still has the palace of Leiningen, castle of Leiningen, Forest of Leiningen and a lot of the restaurants have Leiningen in [their] name. I think that’s a part of my life where it clicked—like, 'This is different.'"
