Prince Harry has spoken about his rift with his brother, Prince William, in a new interview released on Tuesday. The Duke of Sussex, 42, who is not believed to have spoken to William in four years, told GQ's weekly series One More Question: "Some people don't want it to work out. I want it to work out. With everything else that's going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile."
He added: "There's enough drama in the world and enough drama in people's lives to continue with issues with family," and said he now hopes to "draw a line" under the conflict for the "greater good".
A Sussex spokesperson later clarified Harry's comments on others not wanting to work things out were "absolutely not intended as a swipe at his brother or any other member of his family." They added: "The comment was made in a general context and was not directed at his family in any way."
The interview was recorded in late September and released as the Prince and Princess of Wales joined King Charles and Queen Camilla to welcome the Sultan of Oman at Windsor Castle.
Harry returned to Britain with Meghan, Archie and Lilibet in August. He reunited with his father at Highgrove House in July, but there has been no such reunion with William. The brothers were last in the same room at the funeral of their uncle, Lord Fellowes, in 2024, where they did not sit near one another. Their relationship worsened after the release of the Sussexes' Netflix documentary and Harry's memoir Spare.
Some royal fans believe Harry's return home is the perfect moment for the brothers to finally talk. Others feel too much has been said in public for things to go back to how they were. Where do you land? Cast your vote below and share your thoughts in the comments.
