Sarah Ferguson reappeared in London on Thursday for the first time in months, attending a memorial service for her ex-boyfriend and longtime friend, racing tycoon Paddy McNally, at St Paul's Church in Knightsbridge.
The 67-year-old was joined by her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, and their husbands, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank, while Peter Phillips also attended. It came a year after Sarah was stripped of her Duchess of York title over her association with Jeffrey Epstein and was forced to leave Royal Lodge, the Windsor home she shared with her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
Her last public appearance had been the Duchess of Kent's funeral in September 2025, and since then she has rarely been seen, apart from her granddaughter Athena's christening last December and a sighting in Austria in April.
Sarah has denied that she is writing a tell-all book, but royal commentator Phil Dampier told HELLO!: "I have no doubt she will attempt some sort of comeback at some point... she is the comeback queen. Who knows whether, at 67, she's capable of doing it or if it's too late." Some feel she deserves the chance to rebuild her life in public, especially with her daughters by her side, while others believe it is too soon and she should keep a low profile.
