A woman in Texas has given her daughter "the best gift" ever by acting as a surrogate and delivering her baby for her. Tracey Thompson, 54, agreed to carry her daughter Kelley's baby when Kelley and her husband Aaron were having trouble conceiving.
Tracey gave birth to her own granddaughter on 6 January at The Medical Center of Plano.
The little girl was named Kelcey, a name created by combining Tracey and Kelley.

At a press conference at the hospital, Kelley, who was present at the birth, described it as "the best gift... for a lifetime".
Her mum, who is happy and healthy, added: "It is such a blessing that I can do this for my daughter."
For three years husband and wife Kelley and Aaron had tried for a baby and attempted different infertility treatments. They suffered three miscarriages, with the latest taking place on Christmas Day 2014.
"It is such a blessing that I can do this for my daughter," said Tracey
Kelley's mum Tracey decided it was time to step in to make her daughter's wish come true. She acted as a surrogate, carrying one of the embryos that Kelley, 28, and Aaron, 33, had from the final round of their IVF treatment.
At 13 years old, Kelley had asked her mum that if she couldn't have a baby, would her mother carry one for her? Tracey believed it was God's way of telling her that she would have to do so in the future.

The grandmother, who also has a 30-year-old son, was seven years past menopause but because of her excellent health, she was a possible candidate.
She underwent a series of medical treatments to allow her body to adjust and be able to carry a baby again. One of her daughter's embryos was successfully implanted in April 2015 and Tracey delivered a little girl this week.
