There's always something new and niche to do in London. Take First Bakes, a play on Great British Bake Off; it's one way to find love whilst taking part in a light-hearted culinary competition. But if you're after a more group-friendly activity, head to ZSL London Zoo which is launching its fun-filled adult-only evenings. Read on for more fun things to do in the capital...

Find love at First Bakes

first bakes

Whether you're a speed dating know-it-all or have never been to a matchmaking event in your life, First Bakes is about to switch up the game, and you need to get involved. Inspired by The Great British Bake Off, this singles event will see ten guys and ten girls baking in front of a panel of professional matchmakers and head bakers. Word of advice? Rise to the challenge and be your usual egg-cellent self.

Free crazy golf at Swingers City

swingers bday

Whoever said the best things in life are free was darn right. In celebration of Swingers City's second birthday, the crazy golf venue is offering a day of free golfing on Monday 4 June. There will also be half price champagne, an exclusive £5 birthday cocktail, £5 street food plus balloons and birthday cake to complete the festivities. There are two nine-hole crazy golf courses to choose from: The Lighthouse and The Windmill. Afterwards, relax on the Tanqueray No. TEN gin terrace. That's one way to brighten the start of your week!

Brunch at Mac & Wild

Treat yourself to a delicious brunch at Mac & Wild! Famed for its Scottish street food, this place serves up one of Scotland's finest venison and beer to London's everyday people. We recommend the Dirty Scottish Breakfast Bap or the Inverawe Smoked Salmon with Scrambled Eggs. Head there this week to see what's on offer - you also have a bottomless option!

Sing-a-long to your favourite movie at Lucky Voice Karaoke

lucky voice

This really is the ultimate movie night - with a musical twist. For the month of June, our favourite Karaoke venue, Lucky Voice Islington, is offering private film screenings in their cosy booths - featuring all your favourite sing-a-long classics from Grease to Moulin Rouge and Lion King. If that’s not enough, after the film finishes you can sing your heart out with one hour of private karaoke to the film’s soundtrack. Film nights cost from £20 per person for groups of 4-8 people, including a glass of prossecoo and a pizza.

An adults-only evening at ZSL London Zoo

zoo nights

Thought a trip to the zoo was just for kids? ZSL London Zoo will prove you wrong with their adults-only summer evening event, Zoo Nights, which is back for summer. Launching on 1 June until 13 July, night owls are invited to explore the enclosures until 10pm. When you've finished seeing the 18,000 plus animals, sit back for some comedy by the LiveWired Comedy Improv group, or eat any dish you could possibly want at the World Food Market. Zoo Nights will run every Friday; visitors must be aged over 18.

Soft launch offer at CLAW Carnaby

Seafood lovers, listen up! CLAW Carnaby is having a summer season shakeup and is seeing the return of some of its favourites on the menu, including crab rolls and crab mac and cheese. Epic new additions include lobster rolls, a trout Reuben and the restaurant's take on KFC - kimchi fried soft shell crab served with sweet lemon mayo. And the best bit? CLAW will be offering 50 per cent off all food from Thursday 31 May to Monday 4 June.

Have brunch at Patty & Bun

For the super carnivores among us, look no further than Patty & Bun. The burger bar has just opened its new branch on Borough High Street, as well as launching its new breakfast menu. Pick between the bacon, sausage or veggie bun, or the Filthy Animal, a mix of meats. Allpress Coffee and Monkey Puzzle will be supplying the drinks; expect cappuccinos, flat whites and Americanos to go with the breakfast buns. If you haven't been to Patty & Bun, you need to go now! We're salivating just thinking of it.
