Watch the World Cup at Near & Far

Germany lost for the first time in an opening game since 1982 and Argentina drew with Iceland. The World Cup is shaping up to be quite the soap opera this year, and if you're looking for somewhere a little on the quirky side to watch the action, you're in luck. Near & Far are showing all the matches, running special drink offers, and you can even opt for table service if you're not about standing at the bar.

Outdoor cinema at Bussey Building

London's the best in the summer and one of our favourite alfresco activities is outdoor cinema! There are so many to choose from around the capital, but for sky-high views of the City, head to the Bussey Building in Peckham. Rooftop Film Club has taken over the roof and is screening old classics such as Dirty Dancing to Oscar winners like Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Other venues also include Roof East in Stratford and Queen of Hoxton in Shoreditch. Grab your popcorn, we'll see you up there!

Watch the football on Veuve Clicquot's Brosé on the Roof Selfridges pop-up

If you can't get away from the World Cup (and do you really want to?), but are bored of watching the matches in you local pub, then head to Selfridges for the most glam way to cheer on your team. Veuve Clicquot has launched Brosé on the Roof, which is a month long pop-up on the Selfridges Oxford Street rooftop, showing all the key World Cup matches. It's also celebrating 200 years since the invention of rosé - which is definitely something to raise a glass to! The new rooftop bar is open between 19th June - 15th July, and you don't need to book.
