Fresh from a red carpet jaunt at Cannes, supermodel Naomi Campbell hopped over to St Tropez on Thursday to ring in her 34th birthday with the creme de la creme of the jet-set.
Flower petals strewn across her path, the birthday girl made her entrance at a sea front restaurant wearing a stunning cranberry coloured gown, said to be designed by pal Alexander McQueen.
The evening, which had as its theme "Red and White", was just the first event in a three-day extravaganza planned by Naomi's family and friends at the famed Riviera resort. And among the guests – about 800 are expected to jet in for the festivities – were cover girl Eva Herzigova, in a crimson minidress, and Oscar-winner Adrien Brody, who arrived wearing a white kaftan.
Also on hand was Naomi's former flame, Formula One boss Flavio Briatore. The Italian millionaire, who kept with the theme, wearing a red shirt and white dinner jacket, also kept with his habit of stepping out with stunning women, enjoying the night at the side of leggy model Vanessa Kelly.
