Ahead of Mother's Day in the U.S. on Sunday, May 10, the EGOT winner's son David Otunga Jr. made a rare appearance on her talk show.
The doting mom, who shares the 16-year-old with ex-fiancé David Otunga, was quickly brought to tears, not only over her son's surprise, but the treat he brought along with him.
David stepped out with a homemade cake, prepared following his late grandmother's special recipe, which the Hudson family has long relied on for every special occasion. Jennifer's mother Darnell Donerson along with her son Jason died in 2008, murdered by Jennifer's sister Julia's ex-husband.
