Sydney Sweeney left little to the imagination during her recent episode on Euphoria.
The actress who portrays the character of Cassie Howard, is an OnlyFans model who recently posed in a racy nude photoshoot in a new episode, with only a yellow python covering her body.
The photoshoot referenced Britney Spears' pop culture moment at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards, during which she sang while holding a yellow python.
Fans flocked to social media to share their candid thoughts on the provocative scene.
One person wrote: "I'm so tired of Euphoria bro," while another commenter added: "This was such as weird episode #euphoria."
A third person continued: "Euphoria is so odd this season," while another user wrote: "Wtf is this Euphoria plot even?"
Sydney's take on nude scenes
This isn't the first time that Sydney has appeared in pushing-the-envelope scenes on the show, and the actress has been candid about her nude on-camera scenes over the years, for not only Euphoria but her other projects.
She previously shared with Grazia: "When I saw The Voyeurs for the first time, I wondered if I'd done too much. I researched celebrities who have done nude scenes, trying to make myself feel better."
Sydney continued: "There are hour-long compilations of world-famous male actors with nude scenes who win Oscars and get praised for that work. But the moment a woman does it, it degrades them. They're not actresses. They just take off their tops so they can get a role."
The star concluded: "I don't think as many people took me seriously in Euphoria because I took my shirt off. There's such a double standard. I really hope I can have a little part in changing that."
How Sydney views herself
The actress further explained that when she watches the racy scenes on the big screen, she watches it outside of herself, therefore, she feels "disconnected from it."
She shared: "When I get tagged in Cassie's or The Voyeurs' Pippa's nudes, it feels like me looking at their nudes, not Sydney's nudes. When you film one of these scenes, it is so technical and so not romantic. There are people staring at you, there's pads between you, there's nipple covers and weird sticker thongs all up in your butt."
Overall Sydney revealed that thanks to her role as Cassie, her self-esteem has dramatically increased in her own life.
Sydney recalled to W Magazine: "I think that I have gained so much confidence and self-awareness through Cassie. I think that the female body is a very powerful thing. I think that, for me, I'm telling my character's story and so I owe it to them to tell it well, and do what needs to be done."
