Kate Hudson shared a glimpse inside her kitchen fridge located in her $6 million Pacific Palisades abode. The actress took to Instagram on May 27 to show off the stunning space, while also giving fans a glimpse into her daily diet.
The 47-year-old posed for a photograph in front of the fridge with both of its large doors wide open. The exterior featured white wood paneling with gold hardware detailing on the handles. "Back in my favorite place," Kate penned in the caption.
A variety of foods could be spotted inside the fridge, including a bowl of oranges, strawberries, numerous eggs, jars of jam, bottles of wine, what appeared to be yogurt pots in small jars, and freshly squeezed juices.
Kate partnered with upscale appliance brand, Café, to design her kitchen. The countertops are clad in blue marble, set atop crisp white wood cabinetry adorned with gold hardware. Light wood flooring creates a striking contrast, while the breakfast bar is lined with upholstered stools. "I want a blue and yellow kitchen. I want more primary colors without getting too distracting. I want it to feel like serene and modern. I don’t want it to feel cluttered. But I also want to be able to utilize more bright, fun colors than that sort of trended, muted greens and roses – I feel like creams and things that have been very popular for a while. I want more vibrancy," said Kate of the space in an interview with Architectural Digest.
She continued: "You don’t really get to see it from the pictures, but it’s very indoor-outdoor. It opens completely up to the outside. My favorite thing is when the kids are running around and in and out of the kitchen and I’m cooking – I love to cook. I love the kitchen, it’s my favorite place in the world. I like when everybody’s sitting around, and having almost an early afternoon cook flow into an early dinner. I like it loud; I like football on. A loud, active kitchen is perfect to me."
Kate was raised by her parents, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, in the Pacific Palisades property, but the couple later sold it, only for their daughter to buy it back in 2005 and purchase the ocean-side home next door in 2011, to make a sprawling estate.
Kate Hudson's diet and workout routine
Kate has previously opened up about her fitness regime in an interview with People. "I need to be moving to feel good," she said. "Even just making time for a little movement every day — going for a walk, doing a few minutes on the treadmill, some Pilates, or if I have more time for it, I love hot yoga."
The actress also enjoys the mental benefits of exercising regularly. "I really enjoy sweating it out, and it helps me clear my mind. It’s not just about trying to look good physically, it’s important to get oxygen to my brain and feel like my blood is really circulating. I love skiing, walking, hiking and especially riding my bike. It makes me feel like a kid again!."
However, she said that dieting "puts so much pressure on people to lose weight quickly". "Getting healthy is not a two-week process, it’s a change of life-style," she explained.
Kate's fitness routine includes strength training and is guided by her personal trainer, Brian Nguyen. "One day, I tuned in and I was like ... I don’t feel strong, I feel long and I love my Pilates but as I get older... am I doing enough (strength) exercises?," she told TODAY.
