Marc Athony graced the stage at the Center's John Lewis Plaza on June 18 for the grand opening of the Obama Presidential Center. The ceremony brought together "global leaders, artists, changemakers, and citizens for an inspiring celebration of the values that shaped the Obama presidency and continue to power civic engagement across generations."
Marc looked suave in a navy suit that was styled with a crisp white shirt and a smart tie as he sang his hit "Vivir Mi Vida".
The singer's appearance at the event comes after his twins' milestone life change. Emme Maribel Muñiz graduated from high school on May 28. However, the 18-year-old's father was absent from the event and they were rather supported by their mom, Jennifer Lopez, twin brother Max, and former stepbrother, Samuel Affleck.
Emme now goes by the name Oskar Muñiz. In a March post shared by an Instagram account that tracks the college decisions of graduating Windward seniors, Jennifer's child was named as Oskar Muñiz and revealed that they plan to begin college to study theater and studio arts this fall.
Meanwhile, Jennifer was spotted in tears at Max's graduation, where she wore a baby blue floral dress and high heels.
The hitmaker welcomed her twins, Max and Emme, with her ex-husband, Marc, in February 2008. Although Jennifer and Marc separated in 2011, they have maintained a strong bond and continue to co-parent their children amicably.
However, during a recent appearance on the SmartLess podcast, Jennifer reflected on motherhood and raising her kids as a single parent. "It's crazy. And now I can really look at my life, appreciate it for what it is and what I've created for myself and be really happy," she told hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett.
"And both my kids got into all their colleges and they both got scholarships and they're going where they want to go," she added.
"It's just … I was like, 'You did that [expletive] all by yourself.' That's great. Like, 'You had very little help,' you know?"
Marc's baby news
Marc and his wife, Nadia Ferreira, are expecting the birth of their baby girl, who is expected to arrive in August. Marc announced that he is expecting a baby with Nadia back in January. Taking to Instagram, he shared a photo of his wife's baby bump. "Happy 3rd anniversary!! Qué regalo tan grande nos da la vida. Dios es grande. Marquito is going to be a big brother," read the caption.
This will be Marc's eighth time being a father, having welcomed his six older kids with previous partners.
