Jelly Roll has finally broken his silence on his shocking split from his wife of almost 10 years, Bunnie Xo, after her telling message on social media.
The "Son of a Sinner" star, 41, addressed their divorce during a performance in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., during his Little ASS Shed Tour on Thursday, June 18.
Jelly Roll advised the crowd to get their "camera phones out" before warning them it would be the only statement he would make on their breakup.
"While we're talking about liars, the internet is a liar too," the country star, whose real name is Jason DeFord, told the crowd in a video shared on his Instagram profile.
"This is the only time and the only city I'm going to speak about this, so break your camera phones out now."
He continued: "Me and my wife are best friends, we will always be best friends. I will love her. She will probably be the only woman I'll ever love the way I loved her."
To prove his point, Jelly Roll noted that he and Bunnie had spoken on the phone earlier that day, before he addressed claims that infidelity played a part in their split.
"Nobody cheated on nobody," he stated. "She just did a whole podcast about it. You can go watch it. Every word of it is the truth.
"That will be my best friend forever. Bunnie, I love you baby," he concluded, before reiterating he won't be speaking on the topic again.
Jelly Roll was referring to the latest episode of Bunnie's Dumb Blonde podcast, in which she also addressed their split for the first time and confirmed that their divorce would be settled in the next three weeks.
"[Jelly Roll] and I have never really been good at having disagreements," Bunnie began, before adding that they were "the type of couple who never argued."
"So, he would be holding things in. I would be holding things in, and that's a recipe for disaster," she explained.
"On Mother's Day, we had a little bit of an argument, which I don't think the details are necessary. And, in that argument, I was so fed up and so tired that I just looked at him and said, 'Well, then file the [expletive] divorce papers."
Despite their split, Bunnie confirmed that she and Jelly Roll are "still having a baby together."
"We're going to co-parent together. J is my best friend. Like, this isn't what you guys think this is," she said. "Nobody cheated on the other person. It's literally just we served our purpose for each other."
Jelly Roll filed for divorce in Williamson County, Tennessee, on May 18 after they reportedly mutually agreed to separate on May 9. News of their split broke on June 15.
The couple met in 2015 backstage at one of his Las Vegas shows, and they went on to tie the knot in a courthouse ceremony a year later, on the same night that he proposed to her onstage.
