Chrishell Stause and G Flip shocked fans by announcing their split on October 26, 2026, after three and a half years of marriage, but new details have since emerged that question the legality of their union.

Despite exchanging vows four times over the last few years, the Selling Sunset alum, 45, and Australian musician, 33, were never legally married.

The couple first said 'I do' in a Las Vegas ceremony in May 2023, but the marriage was reportedly not legally binding.

And despite another ceremony in Palm Springs in July 2023, a vow renewal in Australia in July 2024, and a medieval-themed ceremony at a castle in Los Angeles in July 2025, they never made their marriage official, according to TMZ.

While they planned to renew their vows "every year and make it a tradition," they didn't appear to have a ceremony in 2026 before announcing their split on social media.

Separation statement

Chrishell shared the news in an emotional Instagram video, speaking candidly about the difficulty of discussing the breakup publicly.

"I have a pretty humbling update to share with you guys," she began, before confirming that their relationship had ended.

Chrishell explained that they had agreed to approach the separation with care and respect but acknowledged that she was struggling.

"I feel like a little bit of a failure," she admitted through tears.

Despite those feelings, she emphasized that their time together had mattered. She described a relationship filled with love, even though its ending was different from the future she had imagined.

"I will always love G, and I don't ever really see that changing," she said.

Chrishell said she was still processing the separation and needed time to heal, reassuring herself that she would eventually move forward.

"And I know that will happen, and I'm gonna heal, and everything's going to be fine," she said.

She ended with a wish for both herself and G Flip: "This sucks, but everyone deserves to be happy, and I wish that for both of us."

G Flip confirmed the separation in their own Instagram statement, expressing gratitude for their years together. "I will always love her, we will always share a special connection and I cherish our memories together deeply," the musician wrote.

They also explained that they were finding it difficult to speak about the breakup. "My head & heart are feeling very heavy right now, and I'm not able to talk," G Flip shared, before thanking supporters and requesting privacy.

Neither offered a clear explanation for why the relationship had ended. It was later reported that it was G Flip who called time on their romance after more than four years together, with some reports claiming that the long distance was the main problem.

The couple first met at a Halloween party in 2021. Chrishell publicly confirmed their romance during the Selling Sunset season five reunion in May 2022, revealing that their connection developed around her appearance in G Flip's "Get Me Outta Here" music video.
