It is an extra special, celebratory day for Sarah Jessica Parker and her family.
On Monday, June 22, the Sex and the City actress' twin daughters, Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta (who goes by her middle name), who she shares with husband Matthew Broderick, rang in their 17th trip around the sun.
In honor of the special day, their mom took to Instagram and shared a series of never-before-seen photos from their childhood growing up in New York City, writing in the caption: "June 22, 2009. Today you are 17. And wise. And good. And happy. And beautifully finding your way. And funny. And devoted [friends]. And beloved daughters."
The twins, whose middle names Hodge and Elwell come from Sarah Jessica's family, were born via surrogate in Martins Ferry, Ohio, but raised in New York City.
The twins, as well as their older brother James Wilkie, 23, were largely raised in the West Village, in a townhouse just a block away from the apartment used as Carrie Bradshaw's building in Sex and the City.
Sarah Jessica previously told People that though they are twins and have a tight-knit bond, the girls have "different interests" and have struck a balance as twins. "They're really devoted to each other, but they'll also say, 'I need time away from her.' Tabitha can play by herself for hours. Loretta always needs to be checking in. They go to different schools. That's Tabitha's idea," she said.
The Landman actress was joined by her tween daughter and teenage son, who she shares with husband Hayes MacArthur, for the Legally Blonde prequel premiere
