Daughter of legendary entertainer Bing Crosby, Mary Crosby, kept things casual as she went about her day in a rare public outing to the Malibu Farmer's Market on Sunday.

The former actress, best known for her role in the hit soap opera series Dallas, looked simply ageless in her mid 60s, as she stepped out in a relaxed tie dyed dress and green beanie to run some errands.

Only daughter of Hollywood legend Bing and his second wife Kathryn, Mary has largely stayed out of the spotlight in recent years, although remains closely associated with one of television's most memorable cliffhangers.

In 1980, millions of viewers tuned in to Dallas, to discover who had shot J.R. Ewing, with Mary's character, Kristin Sheperd, ultimately revealed as the culprit in a television moment that became one of the highest-rated in television history.

The actress has worked on other projects like The Ice Pirates and Deadly Innocents, as well as her first marriage to Eb Lottimer in 1978, with whom she split up just over a decade later in 1989. She remarried in 1998, tying the knot with Mark Brodka, and is since a mother of two.

Although the Hollywood daughter has increasingly embraced a quieter life in recent years, history isn’t quick to forget her father’s immortalised voice, which still has over 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify over 120 years after he was born.

Born on 3 May 1903, Bing found fame as a singer and actor, starring in musicals like White Christmas with Rosemary Clooney and Danny Kaye. The crooner’s best-loved songs include 'Swingin' On a Star', 'I'll Be Home for Christmas' and 'Pistol Packin' Mama'.

Mary is notably one of seven, as Bing’s extensive back catalogue of tracks is not dissimilar to his vast family. First married in 1930, Bing said 'I do' to actress Dixie Lee. The couple were married for more than 20 years before her death in 1952. The singer shared 4 children with his first wife.

The star tied the knot again in 1957, wedding fellow actor and singer Kathryn Crosby. Kathryn was born on 25 November 1933 and appeared in films like The 7th Voyage of Sinbad and Operation Mad Ball.

The couple remained together until his death in 1977. Known as Kathryn Grant, Mary’s mother passed away on 20 September 2024.
