As the Fourth of July weekend beckons in New York City and the heatwave is set to intensify, all eyes have turned to Madison Square Garden, where Taylor Swift's wedding to Travis Kelce is rumored to take place.
While details of their big day have been kept under wraps, a flurry of activity began at the MSG loading dock on Monday as production crews worked to bring in large set pieces.
NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani made a cryptic comment about the upcoming nuptials as he urged New Yorkers to stay safe and cool during the heatwave. "Outlets are confirming that Taylor Swift's wedding is happening at MSG this Thursday and Friday. Anything you can share on that?" asked a reporter at a press conference on June 30.

"My recommendation to all New Yorkers is to stay inside and stay cool," he replied. "And if you happen to be getting married at Madison Square Garden, you will be staying inside, and you will be staying cool. And I think it's a good example to set for the city at large."
"This is a time to try and stay indoors as much as you can," he added. "Stay quenched." Mayor Mamdani then took to social media to share further information about the heatwave, and again hinted at Taylor and Travis' special day.

"We are entering what could be the most extreme heat wave this city has seen in over a decade. It can hit 100 degrees, with temperatures feeling as hot as 112 and staying hot into the weekend."
"We're ready, but we want to make sure you are too," he continued. "Especially if you're celebrating the World Cup or the Fourth of July, or renting out MSG to get married, hypothetically." The mayor said in a previous press conference on June 15 that while he had not been invited to the A-list nuptials, he wished them "a lovely wedding".

Rumors also swirled that their wedding would take place in Rhode Island, where Taylor owns a lavish mansion overlooking the ocean, but this theory was shut down by the Ocean House resort wedding planner, Tara Guérard, on social media.
