Shania Twain was one of 1,000 guests invited to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's July 3 wedding – but her invitation was wasted as she was already 'committed' to the bride's ex-boyfriend.
The country superstar revealed that she couldn't make the dates work because the couple's Madison Square Garden nuptials clashed with Harry Styles' Together, Together tour at London's Wembley Stadium.
"Taylor Swift invited me to her wedding, and I couldn't go because I was already committed to Harry's shows," Shania said in a recent interview with CTV's Etalk.
Referencing Taylor and Harry's brief romance between 2012 and 2013, she added: "It's just kind of funny that that happened that way."
While Shania was aware that Harry was one of Taylor's ex-boyfriends, she said that she "was already committed" to be a special guest on the former One Direction star's 12-night residency, which ran from June 12 to July 4.
When the host teasingly said to her: "You're like, 'Sorry Taylor, I'm gonna choose Harry,'" Shania insisted: "No, but I mean I would have done anything to be at Taylor's wedding."
Reiterating her point, she added: "I would have done anything, and that would have been really lovely for me to be there, but I was with Harry."
While neither Shania nor Harry made it to Taylor and Travis' wedding, his fiancée, Zoe Kravitz, was pictured arriving at the famed arena in a beaded mesh dress.
Inside Taylor and Travis' MSG wedding
More than 1,000 guests attended the star-studded nuptials, including Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper, Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry, the Haim sisters, Camila Cabello, Ellie Goulding, Mariska Hargitay, Dakota Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris and many more.
Taylor and Travis's star-studded nuptials were a multi-day event that kicked off on Thursday, July 2, with a rehearsal dinner at MSG for 100 of their closest friends and family.
Their marriage was confirmed on Friday evening, and to pay tribute to the couple, MSG's famous façade was illuminated with bright pink "JUST&T MARRIED!" signs.
Adam Sandler officiated, and the couple opted against a traditional bridal party. Instead, the bride's brother, Austin Swift, served as her Man of Honor, while the groom's brother, Jason Kelce, was his Best Man.
While no official photos from the big day have been publicly shared yet, the newlyweds both wore custom Dior creations designed by the French fashion house's newly appointed creative director, Jonathan Anderson, as revealed by the singer's publicist after the couple said, 'I do.'
"The bride and groom's wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture," Tree Paine confirmed in a release, obtained by HELLO!
"They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women's, Men's and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom. This is the designer's first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity."
Their shoes were custom-made by Christian Louboutin, and the bride wore Cartier jewelry.
