There appears to be no more bad blood between Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss. After years of speculation surrounding the status of their once-close friendship, the supermodel made a surprise appearance at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's lavish wedding celebrations in New York City on Friday.
Karlie, 33, looked every inch the Hollywood star as she arrived at Madison Square Garden wearing a breathtaking strapless liquid gold satin gown, complete with a sweeping silhouette, matching clutch and delicate gold heels. She finished the elegant look with her signature loose waves, glowing bronzed makeup and a bold red lip.
Her husband, Joshua Kushner, cut a sharp figure alongside her in a classic navy tuxedo with satin lapels and a black bow tie as the couple were photographed hand in hand arriving for the star-studded event.
The glamorous appearance marks a significant moment, with fans long wondering whether Karlie would be invited to Taylor and Travis' wedding celebrations following years of rumours about a falling out.
Taylor and Karlie became one of Hollywood's most famous friendships after first meeting in 2013. Their bond quickly became the stuff of pop culture legend, with the pair appearing together at award shows, starring in Taylor's iconic Bad Blood music video and regularly sharing glimpses of sleepovers, road trips and Fourth of July celebrations alongside the singer's famous "Squad."
However, by around 2017, fans began noticing they were no longer appearing together publicly. Reports later suggested the friendship had cooled amid questions over Karlie's relationship with music executive Scooter Braun, who famously acquired Taylor's master recordings in 2019, as well as speculation surrounding differing political circles.
When Karlie married Joshua in 2018, Taylor was notably absent from the wedding. At the time, however, the singer was on the Australian leg of her Reputation Stadium Tour, with a pre-scheduled concert taking place the same weekend.
Joshua's family connections also fuelled speculation, with his brother Jared Kushner married to Ivanka Trump and serving as a senior adviser during President Donald Trump's first administration. Taylor, meanwhile, has publicly supported Democratic candidates in recent years, prompting fans to wonder whether politics had played any part in the reported distance between the former friends.
Despite years of rumours, there have been signs the relationship had thawed. Last August, Karlie publicly "liked" Taylor and Travis' joint Instagram engagement announcement, in which the singer joked: "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."
The social media interaction immediately sparked excitement among fans, with many taking it as a sign the pair had moved on from the reported rift.
While Karlie was not among the select group invited to Thursday evening's intimate rehearsal dinner, which was attended by Taylor's closest family and friends including Abigail Anderson and Gigi Hadid, she joined hundreds of guests for Friday's much larger celebration.
She also was not part of Taylor's star-studded bridal party, with reports suggesting close friends including Selena Gomez, Sabrina Carpenter, Cara Delevingne and Gigi Hadid had special roles throughout the wedding festivities.
Friday's celebration is expected to be the biggest event of the wedding weekend, with reports claiming around 1,000 guests have been invited.
Rumoured performances from music legends including Stevie Nicks, Sir Paul McCartney and Tim McGraw are also expected to take place as Taylor and Travis continue celebrating with family, friends and fellow A-list stars.
Whether or not the pair's friendship ever truly disappeared behind closed doors, Karlie's elegant arrival suggests one thing: whatever happened between two of pop culture's most famous former best friends appears firmly in the past.
